Curved Truss Structures
Dairy Tech was one of the first dairy construction companies to use Duragal™ RHS Steel.
Duragal™ RHS Steel is a lightweight, medium tensile rectangular hollow section used for portal frames (studs and rafters) to span greater distances at less cost.
General Construction Procedure:
- Frames: By using Duragal™ RHS Steel in the construction of commercial buildings, Dairy Tech can efficiently construct rolled, clear span trusses up to 32 metres. This reduces the cost of construction by x when comparing UB section structures.
- Walls: Outer walls between the portals can be constructed in COLORSTEEL® cladding or pre-cast concrete panels up to full boundary height. Options for visual appeal are surface patterns and coloured overlay.
- To allow natural light the top section of walls are fitted with polycarbonate sheets.
- Roof: COLORSTEEL® long run iron sheets are positioned over the rolled roof structure and screw fixed to ™ RHS Steel framing.
