Silage Pits

Dairy Tech silage pits are designed to engineer specifications.  The structure comprises three walls of pre-cast concrete and mesh, and a poured floor on Dairy Tech heavy-duty steel mesh.

General Construction Procedure:

Larger silage pits have the floor poured first with walls “stack poured” into boxing laid flat and  built on site.   A release agent is sprayed between each of the three wall layers.  When set, is craned onto the floor.
